Sydney Man Allegedly Trespasses On Boat To Tan, Assaults Boat Employee & Obstructs Police
Sometimes a guy just wants to work on his tan and be left alone!
Gold Coast Bulletin reports:
A MAN who allegedly assaulted a tourist boat employee this morning threatened to jump off the boat and drown if he wasn’t allowed to sunbake on deck.
Police will allege the 27 year-old man trespassed onto the boat, assaulted an employee and obstructed officers.
The incident occurred just after 7am when the man boarded a Wyndham Cruises boat at the river end of Cavill Avenue and allegedly assaulted an employee on board at the time.
Police reports suggest the man claimed he couldn’t swim and would jump unless he was allowed to sunbake on the vessel.
27-year-old Tyson Rudge recently plead guilty in the Southport Magistrates Court to trespass, wilful damage, common assault and assaulting or obstructing police.
He was fined $1,500.
