Teen's Father Poured Boiling Water On Him After Coming Out As Gay
A teen suffered torture at the hands of his own family members after coming out as gay in Germany. The torture culminated in a kidnapping and attempt by the boy's male family members to force him into a straight marriage with a woman he had never met.
The father of then 15-year-old Nasser El-Ahmed beat him, poured boiling water on him and threatened to ram a knife into his throat after he came out.
The spokesman for the State Court Tobias Kaehne said on Thursday that the father and the two uncles of the boy were fined 1,350 euros (£960), and that they could face jail if the fines go unpaid.
One of the uncles also doused him in petrol and threatened to set him on fire.
The 15-year old's father and uncles forced him into a car and attempted to drive him to Turkey, where he was to marry a woman. The car was stopped at the border of Romania and Bulgaria, the men were caught and the teen was sent back home.
The three men involved in torturing this teen are now in court over the matter, facing fines of $1,420 each. No jail time is expected, unless the father and two uncles are unable to pay the meager fines they've received for torturing the 15-year old gay teen.
