Tilda Swinton Holds Rainbow Flag In Front Of Kremlin In Moscow
In a display of support and bravery, Oscar winning actress Tilda Swinton posed in front of the Kremlin in Russia while fully extending an LGBT rainbow flag.
She released a statement with the photo, simply stating: "In solidarity. From Russia with love."
Russia's anti-gay propaganda ban subjects those that make bold moves like Swinton's to up to 15 days in jail. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed both the anti-gay propaganda law as well as legislation banning gay couples from adopting Russian children; the law also bans individuals that live in countries that have legalized marriage equality from adopting Russian children.
