T.J. Maxx Tells Employees To Hide Ivanka Trump Merchandise, Trash Brand Signage

Is Daddy going to have to yell at the mean people at T.J. Maxx?

First Daughter Ivanka Trump just can't seem to catch a break, these days.

Recently, high-end department store chains Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus removed Ivanka Trump brand luxury merchandise, online and in physical stores.

As a result, much of Ivanka's line had been passed down to discount merchandise chains like Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, etc.

But now, not even that is going well!

The Hill reports:

Employees at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls were instructed to trash any signs advertising merchandise from Ivanka Trump's retail brand, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

According to the Times, employees at the two sister stores were told to throw away Ivanka Trump signs and move her products from individual display areas to shelves mixed with other brands.

“Effective immediately, please remove all Ivanka Trump merchandise from features and mix into the runs,” read a note to workers obtained by The New York Times. “All Ivanka Trump signs should be discarded."

“Runs” refers to the other clothing racks where the majority of products hang.

A spokeswoman confirmed that the note was sent to employees and told The New York Times that the Ivanka Trump merchandise was mixed into the racks, not removed from the sales floor entirely.

“We offer a rapidly changing selection of merchandise for our customers, and brands are featured based on a number of factors,” parent company TJX Cos. spokeswoman Doreen Thompson said.

Recently, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to blast Nordstrom for the "unfair" treatment of his daughter

“My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person — always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!”

In response to recent news, Rosemary K. Young, senior director of marketing for Ivanka’s brand, recently told The Hollywood Reporter:

"The Ivanka Trump brand continues to expand across categories and distribution with increased customer support, leading us to experience significant year-over-year revenue growth in 2016. We believe that the strength of a brand is measured not only by the profits it generates, but the integrity it maintains. The women behind the brand represent a diverse group of professionals and we are proud to say that the Ivanka Trump brand continues to embody the principles upon which it was founded. It is a company built to inspire women with solution-oriented offerings, created to celebrate and service the many aspects of their lives."
