Video: NHL's Sidney Crosby Speaks Out Against Russia's Anti-Gay Laws; Supports Gay Rights
The National Hockey League's top player (according to ESPN), Pittsburgh Penguin Sidney Crosby is speaking out in support of gay athletes and his opposition to Russia's anti-gay laws!
Crosby says: "For me growing up in Canada, my view has always been that way," Crosby said during a news conference Sunday to kick off Canada's Olympic camp. "I think that everyone has an equal right to play and I think we've been supportive of that. With the Olympics and the controversy around that I think those decisions and those laws aren't necessarily something that I agree with personally ... their laws and their views."
Good to see the support from Crosby and his potential Team Canada teammate, Shea Weber of the Nashville Predators!
