The two same-sex couples who successfully fought down Prop 8 all the way to the Supreme Court received a congratulatory call from President Obama shortly after the ruling. 

"We're proud of you guys, and we're proud to have this in California," the president said on the phone. "And it's because of your leadership things are heading the right way. So you should be very proud today."
