WWE Wrestling Icon Pat Patterson Comes Out As Gay
Pat Patterson, a legendary wrestler in the WWE iconography, has announced that he's spent the past 50 years living in the closet.
Patterson came out on the WWE Network's finale of Legend's House. In the episode, Patterson told his fellow "legendary wrestlers" and roommates, "For once in my life I'm going to be me now." A secret had been kept for five decades, Patterson, who is now a WWE executive, continued, and he had a partner for four of those five. Becoming emotional, Patterson revealed that his partner of 40 years died recently after suffering a heart attack.
Patterson's roommates and fellow icons took the news in stride and welcomed him with open arms, saying, "We love you Pat ... we always love you."
