The first words across Risqué’s lips following his first sip were “sensual and voluptuous.”  With a veritable tango of flavors following, Risqué was struck to find the title of the artwork on the label is “Red Hot Dip.” It couldn’t be more appropriate! But in Risqué’s fruitive mind there is nothing sexier than a deep and powerful dip in a tango, which was historically danced between two men.

One of Risqué’s favorite DVR-recorded TV series is Desperate Housewives. When he ran across the bottle of Longoria Chardonnay, a bewildered excitement grew on his face as he couldn’t help but wonder, “Could Eva (Gabrielle) be making wine?” as he heard she often visits wine bars in Santa Barbara County. Soon visions of Wisteria Lane impaled Risqué’s mind as he closed his eyes and imagined perfectly manicured lawns, rows of comfortable houses, white picket fences and himself becoming Bob Hunter’s new boyfriend, while sitting on the porch sipping the 2007 Chardonnay with Gabrielle, Lynette, Bree, Susan and Edie—in Risqué’s favorite...

Risqué adores luxuriating with all the uber-rich, the Russians and a gaggle of gay men that annually fly into the charming city of Aspen, Colorado, which is where he is certain to be next week during Aspen Gay Ski Week. Besides the thousands of gorgeous men that attend, there are droves of amazing opportunities for fine dining and, of course, extraordinary wine. Risqué has found a magnifico ristorante called L’Hosteria. Its lovely Italian fare and welcoming ambiance are unmatched in Aspen and has a very impressive wine list boasting a broad range of prominent and boutique Italian, French and American wine offerings.

Wine: Hitching Post's 2006 "Perfect Set" Pinot Noir

Risqué is inevitably attracted to a perfect set. A set of pearly white teeth, set of ripped abs, set of hard pectorals, set of defined guns… and oh, not to forget, his delicious set… of LV Luggage! It seems determined that he would be drawn to Hitching Post’s 2006 “Perfect Set” Pinot Noir.

With a clear glinting ruby red, one quick swirl of the glass provokes essences of bright raspberry, earthy mushroom, Sarsaparilla and embracing spice. It’s oral penetration announces a lively and rustic tart raspberry, cherry subtle tanginess on the backside that sets up some bilious swirling tannins.

Wine: Azur 2008 Rosé

Risqué Sommelier has been known to appropriate various proclivities. However, his favorite proclivity is that of an oral nature in which he grasps a fabulous glass of wine and sips his way to nirvana. On one special occasion, Risqué had the opportunity to meet a woman, Élan Fayard, who would indulge Risqué’s oral proclivity with a bottle of Azur 2008 Rosé.

Risqué met first met Élan Fayard when she worked for Lynmar Estate in the Russian River Valley, where she toured Risqué and his lushes through the winery. Later, Élan was able introduced Risqué to her husband’s, Julien Fayard, wine and his proclivity for classic provençal rosé.
