Men's Fashion Brand Suitsupply Promotes Gay Love In New Clothing Campaign

Men’s fashion brand Suitsupply is supporting same-sex love with its new Spring/Summer line.

Suitsupply, which is a global brand founded in 2000 by Amsterdam resident Fokke de Jong, has revealed its Spring/Summer 2018 line. The collection includes linen cotton blended suits, checked jackets, lightweight bombers, and soft colors to better reflect the warmer seasons.

But what you’re all here for isn’t just the clothing, but the campaign that’s marketing them. That’s right, with the new clothes comes a new campaign that celebrates gay love.

The photographs and video (seen below) featuring the many tailored suits also feature several men in intimate poses to express that gay male love is just as normal, and fashionable, as any other.

“The attraction between people is an important part of fashion advertising,” said Jong. “A campaign featuring the attraction between men was long overdue and particularly relevant for our brand.”

That said, the brand’s founder admits that this campaign will probably affect some of his business. With a global outreach that extends across 100 stores in 22 countries, there is bound to be some “negative impact” as Jong puts it.

That said, he’s moving forward with the clothes and the campaign as the photos will be displayed not only on their website, but also in several of Suitsupply’s stores.

Italian Gay Couple Dies and Families Hold Joint-Funeral

An Italian gay couple died after breathing carbon monoxide that was emitted from a defective wood-burning stove on Tuesday, January 2nd. Alex Ferrari and Luca Bortolaso, both who were 21, were staying with two female friends in Ca’di Sotto, Verona when they were found dead due to the dangerous levels of CO. They had been dating for over a year.

The couple was sleeping together in one room where they inhaled the toxic fumes while their friends were in another. Their friends were not affected because they were using an electric fire.

According to the Italian media outlet Cronaca, Ferrari and Bortolaso’s families requested that their lives be celebrated with a joint funeral in the church of San Giovanni Battista.

Both individuals saw an outpour of love at their parishes which was demonstrative of how loved they truly were.

A spokesperson of the bishop of Vicenza, Don Alessio Graziani commented on the tragedy with:

The choice of celebrating together the funeral of Alex and Luke responds to a specific request of their families to whom the Church at this moment of immense sorrow wishes to be close with the words of faith.Following the death of two young people, every other comment it seems at least inappropriate

Senator Monica Cirinnà took to Facebook to pay her respects to the couple and their families by saying, "These families are a virtuous example for everyone who loves and respects their children with dignity even in extreme pain."

Their love will be remembered.

Watch: The First Trailer For "Love, Simon"

The first trailer is out for the upcoming film Love, Simon.

We reported on this film earlier as being one to watch. No, this isn’t the next gay Oscar bait film that’s been praised at indie film award ceremonies. In fact, the reason this film is on everyone’s radar is because it’s the total opposite of that.

Love, Simon is potentially the first gay film to get public attention because of it being backed by a large distributing company. This isn’t going ot be a film that’s only showing in four theaters across the country. This gay teen film will be readily available in your backyard.

The story is based off of Becky Albertalli’s novel Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda and follows 17-year-old Simon Spier who’s still closeted to his friends and family, but is falling for an anonymous online chat buddy who says they go to the same school.

The film stars Nick Robinson (of the former tv show Melissa and Joey and the film Jurassic World) as well as being co-starred by Josh Duhamel, Jennifer Garner, Miles Heizer, Tony Hale, and Katherine Langford.
