The ACLU wants to be sure viewers have the opportunity next season! The group’s advocacy arm, ACLU Action, has launched a campaign—complete with a website—to urge Modern Family producers to make it legal for the hit show’s gay couple, Mitch and Cam.

Of course the show does take place in California, where same-sex marriage is still illegal, but I guess we suspended reality enough to believe Mariah actually sang on Idol last night, so why not here, right?

Check out what Mitch himself, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, has to say about the plot push below.

ABC News producer Don Ennis has bravely come out as transgender and has officially--and legally--become Dawn Stacey Ennis.

She says: “Today I begin anew. Please understand: This is not a game of dress-up, or make-believe. It is my affirmation of who I now am and what I must do to be happy, in response to a soul-crushing secret that my wife and I have been dealing with for more than seven years, mostly in secret.”

More after the jump.

We've had our good eye on The Fosters, an ABC Family drama produced by Jennifer Lopez, for quite some time. Mostly because it features a lesbian couple raising children at the center of the show, but also a little bit because of a gorgeous co-star seen throughout the first trailer.

As we get closer to the premiere date and even more action from One Million Moms, ABC Family brings us a second trailer that reveals a little more of what we can expect from the LGBT-heavy show.

We're not surprised that Lindsay Lohan got shafted on Barbara Walters' Most Fascinating People of 2012 list, but some of the celebrities who did make the cut might evoke a few chin scratches.

If Diane Sawyer is anything like us, she'll be waking up on the bathroom floor in about an hour, stumble straight to the medicine cabinet, fumble around for four Excedrin, then place an order for hash browns with extra grease from Renaissance Diner.

Apparently, Diane played the same drinking game most of us at election parties enjoyed. The rules were simple: take a shot every time a Republican cried. We were tipsy not even an hour into the results, but Diane...Diane had a good night.

Hopefully one of her staff has the sense of humor to tell her that Romney won the election when she inevitably asks "So, who won?" this morning.
