The 13-year-old student, using the pseudonym Abraham Smith, who was denied admission to the private boarding school, Milton Hershey School, based on his lifelong HIV status has been awarded a $700,000 settlement in response to his family's lawsuit against the school.

Following waves of protests putting the focus on its discriminatory policy, Pennsylvania's Milton Hershey School (founded by the chocolate kingpin) has reversed its decision and will offer admission to HIV positive students. Details follow.
