After a major loss in this month's elections, the National Organization for Marriage seems to be auditioning a new strategy via its Ruth Institute. In a Thanksgiving message that'll ultimately split apart families, NOM's "Dr." Jennifer Roback Morse tells sheeple that even knowing gay folks can be a risky venture for "Christians."

Everything about Amendment One is shady, all the way down to the ballots being handed out today as North Carolina's voters decide the fate of the anti-gay measure. How shady? Early reports of voter fraud are erupting out of areas with voters largely opposed to the homophobic amendment. Go figure.

An incredible mom told her 5-year-old son, Sam, that he could pick out whatever shoes he liked from the store to wear for his first day to pre-school. These are the shoes he wanted, and though nobody gave him grief at school over his selection, once Sam's mom posted the picture to Facebook it was the adults who became bullies. Details follow.

A study published in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry has found that adults who were victims of bullying as children experience lifelong physical and mental health problems.

According to MSNBC:

Adults who were bullied as children were more likely than others to suffer from depression and anxiety, as well as a host of physical ills, including fatigue, pain and a greater susceptibility to colds.

The researchers asked nearly 3,000 Australian adults about their physical and mental health and whether they had experienced severe, routine bullying by peers as a child. Just under 19 percent reported that they had been victims of regular and traumatizing bullying, either physical or verbal.
