Indiana lawmakers have decided that they will not put the question of whether or not to institute a state constitutional ban on the legal recognition of same-sex couples to voters via referendum this year.

Now this is what we call Congressional support! 

Minnesota Senator Al Franken's Washington D.C. and Minnesota staff members both showed solidarity with the LGBT community by dressing as a rainbow for Halloween!

Each staff also held up signs encouraging Minnesota voters to vote "no" on the proposed state constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriage.

Just in case there was any confusion, Mitt Romney is still very much in favor of a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage. 

He also doesn't consider pesky things like, oh, being able to visit your same-sex partner in the hospital to be civil rights. Those are "benefits" and according to Romney they should be determined by the states.

Former Prop.8 proponent and key trial witness David Blankenhorn came out in support of the marriage equality movement in a big way this past June when he wrote a New York Times opinion editorial detailing his evolution on the issue. 

He's now speaking out in opposition to Minnesota's proposed constitutional amemdment that would ban same-sex marriage.
