Stop!! We can't even process the casting news Ryan Murphy dropped today via Twitter for the upcoming season of American Horror Story!
We previously mentioned that the showrunner had announced the bombshell addition of Kathy Bates, who'll apparently be squaring off with Jessica Lange. That was followed by news that Precious star Gabourey Sidibe will be joining the cast.
We were already all in and then Murphy casually dropped the news of not one but TWO ridiculous additions to season three.

We're absolutely convinced that the television moment of our time has passed us by now that we can assume that no camera was present then Mariah Carey ALLEGEDLY found out that American Idol producers were considering replacing her with Jennifer Lopez midway through the season.
We CAN'T. To say that J.Lo and Mariah had a tense relationship in the past--at least according to the media--is an understatement, so we can only imagine the hellstorm that this must have set off.

Well it's now really official. Uruguay's House just voted and passed (as expected) the marriage equality bill with a vote of 71-21!
President Jose Mujica has said he intends to sign the bill into law.

It appears members of the Supreme Court aren't above stating outright lies.
Justice Antonin Scalia made the comment during Tuesday's Prop. 8 hearing that “there’s considerable disagreement among sociologists as to what the consequences of raising a child in a single-sex family, whether that is harmful to the child or not.”
Only that's not true. And considering he had an amicus brief submitted by the American Sociological Association (ASA) on that specific subject, he should have known better.
