Earlier this month we witnessed a viral video of the brutal attack of Brandon White, a gay man in Atlanta, while his attackers yelled gay slurs at him in the process. Could it be that the slurs were being yelled from an off camera party? If so, can this still be a hate crime? This Atlanta saga continues after the jump.

If you’re in New York this weekend, or at any time over the next four weeks, head on over to some of the hottest spots in the city to pledge your allegiance to put a stop to domestic violence—an all-too ignored topic in the gay community.

This Sunday, Jan. 24, Way Out Worldwide will launch its “Spread The Love” fundraising campaign at Splash (natch!) to help support the NYC Anti-Violence Project and the feature film Why, which depicts a fictional story of partner abuse. A cash donation at the door will not only get you Grey Goose cocktails and raffle tickets, but more importantly will give you the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping to educate about and end domestic violence.
