Aretha Franklin has caught wind of Beyoncé's lip-synched 'Star Spangled Banner," and isn't quite as shady with her reaction as you might think. So, what does the diva to end all divas have to say about Bey Bey's controversial (it must be a slow news week) performance?

Move over Adam Lambert and Mariah Carey—there's a true Queen rumored to be playing American Idol's musical judge's chairs game: Aretha. 

Adele is far from rolling in the deep after the release of her sophomore disc 21, and instead, according to critics and the gays, is rolling on a high in the wake of the stunning album. Here, in the teaser video for her upcoming Vh1 Unplugged special (March 3 on Vh1.com; March 4 on Vh1), Adele hits all the right notes in Aretha Franklin's "Natural Woman" -- minus the bad weaves and stripclub-stolen red microphone stands from last week's Grammy tribute to the queen of soul that somehow managed to leave Adele out of the lineup.

Over the weekend it was speculated (a huge, dramatic side-eye to HuffPo for supplying the rumor) that Halle Berry would borrow Tyra Banks's experimental fat suit to play Aretha Franklin.

Calling in to the Wendy Williams Show, Aretha ignited the intense Halle-speculation.

"For the last four years, we've been talking about (the film), and I have had a number of offers. Unfortunately, they were not good offers. Now, we have something on the table. They have all of the financing on one project...

You may have seen this already today, but we couldn't resist. Betty White may do many things wonderfully, but we're thinking her Snickers commercial just got upstaged...
