Last month we hinted that the small town of Bisbee, Arizona was on its way to granting its LGBT residents access to civil unions. Today, we're happy to repor the town's City Council approved the measure by  5 - 2 after a contentious debate that included touching testimony from a local gay couple.

Apparently not all conservative politicians are following Sen. Rob Portman's lead.

Arizona congressman Matt Salmon spoke out in a televised interview telling  viewers that while his youngest son, Matt Jr., is openly gay, Salmon is not in favor of same-sex marriage.

In a 5 - 3 vote and after five hours of grueling testimony, the Phoenix City Council has approved extending its non-discrimination ordinance to include protections for LGBT residents.

We hate to be cynical (we're totally cynical), but this is so aggressively shady that we had to get your opinion on it. 

An NBC affiliate in Arizona is reporting that Repubican House Rep. Jeff Flake, who's currently running for the U.S. Senate, has (via his campaign) been robo-calling Democratic voters and supplying them with the wrong voting locations. 

Imagine driving 11 miles out of your way to vote because you've been instructed to, only to find that your actual polling location was in the opposite direction.

Intentional deception to dissuade Democratic voters or sloppiness on the part of Flake's campaign? Watch and decide after the jump!

Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu, the rising conservative star who earlier this year made headlines for allegedly threatening to have his immigrant gay ex deported, has been cleared of all charges.
