Things don’t seem to be looking up at Regent after the shocking lawsuit news last week. Industry news source indieWIRE is now reporting that a number of filmmakers who find themselves stuck in the middle of the Regent mess are looking at the possibility of filing a class-action lawsuit against the sinking? media company.

All told, some 100 films are reportedly in limbo (unable to work the festival circuits, unable to be sold, unable to get paid on) due to ownership contracts signed with Regent—ranging from 18-30 years! The Regent filmmakers must determine if they can retain rights to their films or receive any of the payments they initially expected from the company.

Of the large collection of titles in question is the Salvador Dali...
