Unioto High School student Levi Sever was charged earlier Thursday with a delinquency count of assault in the videotaped beating of his gay classmate.
The 15-year-old will appear later in juvenile court to answer to the charge filed by the office of Prosecutor Matthew Schmidt following an investigation by the sheriff's office.
Hopefully this gives the student a wake-up call. But let's also brace ourselves for some "gay panic defense" BS.
