Just in case you don't stay up until the wee hours of the morn hoping to get a glimpse of handsome athletes ripping off their clothes…well, that's why you've got us.

Those Aussies have got summer right now and the Australian Open, and while we're usually doing other things at 3:30 a.m. (don't ask what), we did take it all in as one handsome winner was up to his usual shirtless celebrations.

We were disconsolate when Matthew Mitcham threatened to retire from the world of Olympic diving after the London Games. But our M-A-C-glossed frowns were turned upside down today when we learned that the Aussie hottie has parlayed his experience (and Olympic-carved body) into another fruitful career. Thanks to this new campaign from Funky Trunks, we don't have to pour a beer a glass of Veuve on the diving board in honor of Matthew; it looks like he's on to bigger (just check out his underwear modeling assets!) and better (at least for our lingering eyes) things in the years ahead.

Guess the set has just recovered from the devastation that Dylan Yeandle's strip-tease performance of "Sex Bomb" inflicted, because the hot video is just making the gay blogosphere rounds today. None other than the buff and burly Hugh Jackman beat out very tough competition that included rising Avatar star Sam Worthington, Eric Bana, and True Blood's perpetually shirtless Ryan Kwanten.

Speaking of Blondie taking on holiday music, another international music sensation with a heyday in the 70s/80s is changing his tune. It is being reported that Sir Elton John is working on a new album -- of dance music!

The Sun is reporting that Sir Elton is teaming up with Australian dance beat maestros P'Nau to deliver a release stocked with house.
