Bah Humbug, indeed. The kind folks over at the American Family Association are calling for a boycott of all stores owned by Gap Inc., including Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic.

Why? Allegedly the stores have censored the word "Christmas."

And here we were thinking that the boycott would have been triggered by Rufus Wainwright and his cute hubby eye-f*cking all over Gap's holiday ad campaign.

Nearly as entertaining as the upcoming Wanda/Sheneneh film promises to be is the latest boycott from the American Family Association; Like George Bush in the Iraq war, the AFA is launching a righteous preemptive strike on the Gap corporation (which includes homobase Banana Republic and Old Navy) in the hopes of escalating a Christmas” vs. “Holiday” war.

Seems the latest Gap ads include mention of a “holiday sale,” which doesn’t sit well with the Christians at AFA, who are offended that the apparel chain wanted to include its Jewish, Muslim and other customers. AFA wants to institute a 2 month boycott of Gap brands for their failure to put the “Christ in Christmas.”
