Apparently Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott would like us to have absolutely no recognition under the law. 

Abbott issued an opinion yesterday stating that domestic partner benefits offered by local Texas governments were unconstitutional.

Chief Warrant Officer Charlie Morgan, a member of the New Hampshire National Guard and a lesbian, passed away this morning.

Morgan bravely battled Stage IV breast cancer while working tirelessly to see both the overturn of the Defense of Marriage Act and the extension of benefits to same-sex military couples.

Wow. Boeing may need to do some damage control now that it appears that they may be actively discriminating against their same-sex married employees.  

In the wake of Washington State's passage of Referendum 74, which legalized same-sex marriage in the state, Boeing has been asked by union reps to extend equal pension benefits to same-sex spouses. 

According to union rep, Ray Goforth, Boeing has refused citing the federal government's non-recognition of same-sex marriage.

Cray cray former assistant attorney general, Andrew Shirvell, who was ordered to pay $4.5 MILLION to Chris Armstrong, the gay University of Michigan student body president he harrassed (total Fatal Attraction crush style), will have a little cash coming in so that he can start paying those checks!

Apparently a court has ruled that Shirvell can now receive unemployment benefits.

Just in case there was any confusion, Mitt Romney is still very much in favor of a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage. 

He also doesn't consider pesky things like, oh, being able to visit your same-sex partner in the hospital to be civil rights. Those are "benefits" and according to Romney they should be determined by the states.
