With all the focus on the big-names getting into the fight for love and against North Carolina's Amendment One, human-size liver spot Billy Graham felt the need to inject his name into the debate via a saintly anti-gay ad appearing in 14 papers across the state this week. We thought this was interesting. Christian student groups at Vanderbilt University have been raising quite a stink based on Vanderbilt's "all-comers" anti-discrimination policy that stipulates no student group can discriminate. The university's discrimination statement includes sexual orientation.
The Christian groups argue that "by being forced to allow gay students to participate and run for officer positions, they themselves are being discriminated against for their faith."
In response to Vanderbilt's stance and in an attempt to show their support for religious organizations, Tennessee legislators proposed House Bill 3576/Senate Bill 3597, which would allow religious student groups to discriminate according to the beliefs of... FULL STORY

London Mayor Boris Johnson has blocked a campaign of "ex gay" therapy advertisements from running on his city's buses after international criticism today.
“London is one of the most tolerant cities in the world and intolerant of intolerance," said Mayor Johnson in a statement. "It is clearly offensive to suggest that being gay is an illness that someone recovers from and I am not prepared to have that suggestion driven around London on our buses.”
