The full casting breakdown for the new season of Dancing With The Stars was released late last night (though we teased Nancy Grace's slot on the show yesterday), and includes, among other notable mentions, Chaz Bono and Carson Kressly. GLAAD has been heels over head with ABC (and also the CW for its inclusion of Isis King on the next cycle of America's Next Top Model) all day since the announcement. A documentary chronicling Chaz Bono's journey through gender transition is receiving quite the journey itself: it'll premiere later this month at the Sundance Film Festival before being broadcast on Oprah's OWN Network, which has just picked up the film.
Reports Deadline:
Oprah Winfrey's upstart cable network OWN has acquiredBecoming Chaz, the Fenton Bailey/Randy Barbato-directed feature documentary that will make its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and follows the gender reassignment journey that transformed Cher's and the late Sonny Bono's daughter Chastity into their son, Chaz Bono. The network is prepping a soiree up at the festival, where OWN will likely make a formal announcement of this deal.

As we suspected, turns out the whole story is false. Madonna issued a statement saying there are no such plans for a benefit concert.
According to the UK’s Mirror, Madonna is getting ready to take her commitment to Malawi to a whole new global scale with a massive concert benefit she is reportedly planning.
Said to be following in the steps of massive fundraiser/concert hybrid Live Aid, the Walk Out Of Poverty concert will be held in Malawai but will broadcast across the world. Word is the event will take place as early as September.
Assuming this is actually happening, I think it’s safe to say Madonna will be performing at said benefit (ya know, some of her “deep” music), but the Mirror also reports... FULL STORY
