If you thought tabloids in the U.S. were bad, they seem to have nothing on the Ugandan tabloid Red Pepper. For its new issue released today, the tabloid debuted a cover story featuring x-rated images that it claims shows Chris Mubiru, chief of the Uganda Cranes football team, allegedly having sex with a young team player.

Following an outpouring of outrage yesterday over the treatment of transgender woman, Carmen Carrera, TLC has pulled the episode of Cake Boss that depicts her as a the punchline of a prank that ultimately mocks the transgender community.

The cover for Tina Fey's collection of humorous essays, Bossypants, made its debut at the Frankfurt Book Fair over the weekend. I haven't even read it yet, but if I were to judge the book by its cover, Bossypants is already my favorite read of 2012. (Due out in April of that year.)
