What a difference a year makes! Well in this case a year and a half.
Director Brett Ratner, who was famously dropkicked from producing the Oscars following his comment that "Rehearsal is for fags," will be receiving GLAAD's inaugural Ally Award at the GLAAD Media Awards on March 16.

The Hollywood Reporter released a statement from Ratner saying that he is quitting as producer of the Academy Awards:
"I called Tom Sherak this morning and resigned as a producer of the 84th Academy Awards telecast. Being asked to help put on the Oscar show was the proudest moment of my career. But as painful as this may be for me, it would be worse if my association with the show were to be a distraction from the Academy and the high ideals it represents," he stated.
We've known for a long time that gays and Jews run Hollywood, but it looks like one trumped the other today.
Do you think he was given an ultimatum: to resign or get fired? What's your Instinct?
