According to reports, the D.C. office of the Human Rights Campaign and the office for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force were evacuated after police passed along credible bomb threats. 

Staff have since returned to the HRC office following the "all clear" from D.C. police, but the story concerning the NGLTF is still developing.

Big news today in Rhode Island!

Under the order of Governor Lincoln Chafee, same-sex couples married out of state but residing in Rhode Island will now receive the same rights, benefits, and obligations of heterosexual married couples.

Unfortunately the hangover we woke up with after last night's Amendment One madness won't go away by taking four Advil downed with a Bloody Mary back. Thanks to the Amendment One campaign congratulating god on contributing to the amendment's passage, our eyes have rolled so far back in our head we can count just how many precious hair follicles we've lost to the demonization. Fortunately, we remain calm and resolved knowing that the tide of equality is slowly washing over the country.
