If you follow the National Organization for Marriage on social networks or its website, then this morning you, like many others, might've actually thought the anti-gay group had a change of heart and came around to espouse the values of Christianity for once.

In an apology that hopefully foreshadows one we'll read from President Obama once his "evolution" is complete, Washington Governor Christine Gregoire says she sorry it took her so long to have a change of heart over marriage equality.

If those opposed to marriage equality allow even for a second their minds to open and the slippery-slope arguments to, well, slip away, it is overwhelmingly likely that they'll come around to the side of love. The evolution of thought, as President Obama would put it, happened to Republican Maryland Delegate Wade Kach, who expereinced a change of heart after meeting with same-sex couples.

The Boy Scouts of America have often been at odds with the LGBT community based on the organization's explicit homophobic policy prohibiting openly-gay members or leaders. But an article appearing in the Boy Scouts official publication this week that embraces GLSEN's "No Name Calling Week" hints that progress might be on the horizon.
