Jessie J is a woman of her word! The pop star promised to shave her head for charity and she did so on live television for Comic Relief, a charity in the United Kingdom working to end poverty.

"Shaving my head for charity is something I've promised to do for a long time, and Comic Relief has given me the opportunity to try and raise as much money as possible for good causes by doing it. I won't deny that I'm nervous, but I am also honored to be part of this year's campaign."

Scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien was honored with Stonewall's annual "Bigot of the Year" award Thursday night in London for such hits as comparing marriage equality to slavery and child abuse and spreading rumors that homosexuality destroys a person's soul. Though the Cardinal was not on hand to provide an acceptance speech, many Christians have filled the vocal void with sharp criticisms of the internationally known LGBT group that handed out the award. 

Though we've been emailing Ricky Martin under the guise of "a charity" much in need of his pants to auction off for years, the Latin heartthrob finally gave up his slacks in the name of fundraising for HIV/AIDS.

Impressive!

That's not all that's impressive, however; at least Ricky had the decency to keep us stalkers fans in mind by sharing an image taken the moments his pants came off.

Don't get us wrong—we love the new trend of amateur sports teams disrobing for charity. But we've wondered how, exactly, the teams who strip down to pay for new uniforms think that going in the buff is any incentive for their admirers to help them cover up!

With their thinking caps on (but nothing else!) the Warwick University men's rowing team has figured out a way to entice their admirers to pitch in for new uniforms.

Making an impact locally and nationally is a cinch thanks to the numerous LGBT groups that serve the United States. But when it comes to helping out our fellow LGBT living in some of the most hostile parts of the world, it's not always clear where we can turn to lend our helping hands. 

That's all about to change thanks to the U.S. Department of State's new text donation campaign, the mGive International Response Equality Fund.
