LGBT Ally & Marriage Equality Advocate Chris Kluwe Signs With Oakland Raiders

It looks like the Oakland Raiders might be our new footkick squad or whatever they're called!

Punter Chris Kluwe, formerly of the Minnesota Vikings, has been picked up by the Raiders, giving us yet another reason to watch important touchdown matches on CSPN this year.

While the Minnesota Vikings have remained mum on the reasoning behind their dismissal of kicker and outspoken LGBT advocate Chris Kluwe, there's one high profile Minnesota figure who thinks there's something fishy about Kluwe being cut. 

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton appears to attribute Kluwe's dismissal to his LGBT advocacy, and he doesn't appreciate it.

Chris Kluwe may have been cut from the Minnesota Vikings only a few days ago, but his resolve to achieve full marriage equality hasn't gone anywhere. Judging from a new interview with HuffPo, his passion for LGBT rights might have even grown stronger. 

As unfortunately expected, the Minnesota Vikings have cut famous LGBT ally Chris Kluwe from the team. 

So, how did Chris respond to the big news?

With the selection of punter Jeff Locke in the NFL draft, Minnesota Vikings kicker and vocal LGBT ally Chris Kluwe may soon be out of a job--and he thinks his outspoken support of LGBT rights may be the reason for it.

Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe is just...he's just the best. 

In his latest opinion piece for CNN he's blasts those within the sport and outside of it that are denouncing a gay player for potentially coming out based on the idea that said player will be a "distraction" or that coming out is in some way "selfish."

One line to players sums it up quite nicely: "I have four simple words for you. Grow the f*** up. This is our job, we are adults, so would you kindly act like one?"
