A new survey from the Community Healthcare Network in New York enlightens us to some troubling statistics: nearly 50 percent of gay men who find hookups on location-based apps engage in unsafe sex. 

Bishop Thomas Paprocki of the Archdiocese of Springfield in Illinois has started talking about a priest under his employ who was granted a leave of absence for an odd 911 call in late 2012. Earlier this month we brought you the story of Father Tom Donovan, who had to have police help him out of a mouth gag and handcuffs. Today, Bishop Paprocki, who is currently at war with marriage equality efforts in Illinois, released a statement about the incident. 

Rocketown, a Nashville music venue and Christian outreach center, is under fire itself for giving the pink slip to one of its employees for wearing a pro-gay shirt to work.

The MLK Weekend edition of Saturday Night Live was one of the funniest of the season so far, thanks largely in part to host Jennifer Lawrence and SNL star Kate McKinnon's reproduction of Jodie Foster's Golden Globe speech. Jamie Kuntz, the 18-year old who was kicked off his football team for reasons that include lying about his relationship with a 65-year old man, has spent the past few months since he made headlines surprised by the gay community's reaction. 

Four gay men were attacked at a recent Lafayette, Louisiana showing of The Guilt Trip. A man, seated with his children behind the victims, began spewing anti-gay slurs directed at the group of gays. After being asked to stop, he physically assaulted one of the men by punching him in the back of the head. Details follow.

Interestingly Nicki manages to explain herself in a way that's almost, dare we say it, charming? And she manages to throw some subtle shade Mariah's way while masking it in kindness. 

American Idol could be interesting indeed.
