A four-year-old Texas boy spent the end of 2009 serving an in-school suspension for refusing to cut his long hair. Though the Dallas-area school is frank about its conservative-dress code, Taylor Hugh's parents promised to not force their son to cut his long locks.
Their promise paid off. Well, sort of.
The school board decided on Tuesday, Jan 11 to adjust the district's grooming policy to let young Taylor keep his long locks with a catch: the pre-kindegartener must wear his hair in braids that fall no further than his ears.
Taylor's parents are unsatisfied with the ruling and vow to appeal the decision, attesting that braids would make his scalp bleed and that their son simply like his hair the way it... FULL STORY
