The Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum is receiving flak today for discriminating against a same-sex couple that planned to rent its Masonic Hall for a commitment ceremony. Details follow.

A lesbian couple, at least one member of which is a military servicemember, participated in a commitment ceremony last month at Fort Polk's military chapel in Louisana.

Apparently this is causing quite the uproar among politicians and some Louisiana citizens. Same-sex marriage is banned in the Louisiana state constitution, and some are accusing the military members that conducted the ceremony and allowed it to take place of breaking the law.

How a commitment ceremony is being confused with a legal marriage is beyond us, but we'll let people speak for themselves after the jump!
