If Obama's debate and post-debate performances have bored and depressed you to tears, perhaps a new reality show will give you a reason to believe in America once again. The Next American Gay follows a dozen pure bred, yep, American gays as they use brains and brawn in their fight to represent the U.S. at the annual Mr. Gay World contest.

The teaser preview for the reality series (which is hosted by cutey patootie Jonathan D. Lovitz) is after the jump.

The Pure Pole Studs, a gay Australian trio boasting a name that'll likely break our servers, have taken Octomom's new profession to new heights (literally). But will Australian TV audiences appreciate their gravity defying enough to vote for them on the country's popular Everybody Dance Now reality show? 

We've been uber focused on J. Lo's American Idol contract negotiations—so much so that we’ve been caught completely by surprise by this latest news: Steven Tyler is out!

We've been anxiously awaiting Britney's debut on The X-Factor—and by that we mean actual full on anxiety.

Will she have a(-nother) public meltdown? Will she speak with a British accent? Will she be an overly medicated zombie?

Admittedly, the last thing we could have fathomed would be that the legendary Ms. Spears—who knows more about “X” factor than most—could also potentially be slaying bitches and taking names.

Based on this newly released promo, we couldn't be more proud. It looks like our Brit Brit has come to play!

The ONE IN TEN SCREENPLAY CONTEST, the world's largest screenplay contest “dedicated to the positive portrayal of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender and queer individuals in film,” is now accepting entries for its 2012 competition.

It's official. The game has changed.

Britney Spears has officially signed on as a judge on The X Factor (along with someone called Demi Lovato??).

Spears joined Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, and Lovato on stage at FOX's network upfront presentation today in New York.

We’re kind of surprised this hasn’t happened before now. Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell have been playing a little too nicely in recent years.

It’s only fitting that Naomi would decide to shake things up by getting her own modeling show, now that Tyra’s America's Next Top Model is in upheaval.

President Obama and The White House are praising the LGBT community for being “united in the fight for equality.” (Mr. President, we’re waiting to hear a few choice words from you that will give that praise infinitely more meaning.)

Over the weekend we took extra grains of salt rimming our extra brunch-time margaritas as we checked out purported demos from The Messengers for Madonna's upcoming new album.  A little healthy competition has sent Robert Pattinson into a spiral of unhealthy choices after paling in comparison (literally) to Taylor Lautner's chiseled abs. Guess these are the kinds of conversations that Twilight has influenced in pop-culture. (Not that we're complaining.)
