It's nice to see consumers displaying such a healthy appetite for safe sex!

If the assortment of vaguely berry flavored lubes that tasted like expired cough drops didn't make your taste buds pucker at the thought of a delicious night in the boudoir, perhaps the new bacon flavor condoms from J&D's would've done the trick (no pun intended).

Too bad they sold out pretty much as soon as they were announced.

It goes without saying that the latex/lambskin prophylactic male condom that's been in existence for centuries has a lot of room for improvement. Gazillionaire Bill Gates understands the effect a "better" condom might have on the world and has offered a $100,000 grant to anyone who can reinvent the life-saving device with a modern appeal.

Gay hookup site and app Manhunt has left the jaws of many dropped—but not in the usual way its services tend to accomplish such a feat. In what it says is an act of it honoring World AIDS Day tomorrow, Manhunt has started promoting the controversial daily HIV preventative pill Truvada as "a choice when condoms are in the way."

In other titillating pressing news, Los Angeles voters have passed the AIDS Healthcare Foundation-sponsored, Measure B, also known as the "Safer Sex in the Adult Film Industry Act."

Male performers in pornography (gay and straight) will now be required to use condoms on set. The measure passed with a vote of 56 percent to 44 percent.

Not surprisingly, not everyone's thrilled about it.

In a landslide ruling, Canada’s Supreme Court has ruled that individuals with “low levels” of HIV and who use condoms do not have to disclose their HIV status to sexual partners. More details on the ruling after the jump.

In a study conducted by San Francisco University and presented over the weekend at the 19th Annual AIDS Conference in D.C., researchers unveiled statistics showing that black gay couples use condoms more than white gay couples.
