Matt R. Salmon, the gay son of Republican Arizona congressman Matt Salmon, defended his father's opposition to marriage equality--or more accurately, defended his father from accusations that he's a bigot.

House Representative Barney Frank (4th District, Massachusetts) became the first gay member of Congress to marry a same-sex partner on Saturday! He married his new husband, Jim Ready, at the Boston Marriott hotel in Newton, Massachusetts.

Barney and Jim have been a couple since 2005.

Congressman Mike Honda, a California Democrat, will launch the Congressional Anti-Bullying Caucus tomorrow, alongside nearly three dozen Congressional colleagues.

Honda was an educator for more than 30 years.

Openly gay Congressman Jared Polis of Colorado and his partner Marlon Reis today welcomed their son Caspian into the world. This makes Jared Polis the only openly gay member of Congress to be a parent!
