While we're not generally advocates for recording a person's private conversations, we definitely got a kick out of this subway encounter that New York blogger Rafi D'Angelo captured this week for his blog So Let's Talk About__.

While riding the subway, D'Angelo overheard (and recorded) a conversation between two "middle-aged white guys with Long Island accents, mustaches, dirty jeans — the type of guys you’d expect to see on a building site" who both also happened to have gay sons.

While the Catholic Church has selected yet another anti-gay Pope to lead them into the future (past??), the Jewish Reconstructionist movement here in the U.S. has tapped its first openly gay leader!
