It's been a whirlwind of a month for John Paulk, the former founder and leader of Love Won Out, an "ex gay" and conversion therapy group created by hate group Focus on the Family. After coming out as still in fact gay gay gay, Paulk has decided to denounce the movement he once championed and to apologize to the LGBT community.

New Jersey's Senate health committee approved a bill that will ban ex-gay "conversion therapy."  Similar legislation previously passed in California (the CA law is being reviewed by the Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals).

California's ex-gay therapy ban has hit a road block. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has blocked the law that bans ex-gay therapy for minors and was scheduled to go into effect in January 2013.

It's a quack attack! We've used so-called twice in a headline because we've deemed it more than necessary. These quacks told us they were ready to get their "sue" on. And now the so-called (there's that word again) ex-gay therapists are taking their battle to court. Seems like it'd be more suited for Judge Judy (no offense, Judes!), but this is laughable.

The California State Senate has approved SB 1172, which will prohibit mental health providers in California from providing “ex-gay" reparative/conversion therapy to minors. It will also prevent them from administering the therapy to adults without expressed consent.
