As performed by Heather Morris and Chord Overstreet it sounds a wee bit different from what Courtney Love was giving us in the 90's.

Given the year Courtney Love had (advising Lady Gaga to stop surrounding herself with gay men; helping a Brazilian audience chant "Foo Fighters are gay"), if the outspoken rock diva does truly consider herself an ally to the community, perhaps silencing herself with duct tape for the NOH8 campaign is the best way to show her allegiance. Courtney Love really put her tiara to the test over the weekend in Brazil. Yesterday, we told you about the aging rock-star harassing a fan for holding a picture of Kurt Cobain; today comes news that the self-titled "gay icon" left the stage and refused to return until the crowd started chanting "Foo Fighters are gay." Seriously. Details follow.

Celebrity sage Courtney Love has dispensed an invaluable morsel of advice to Lady Gaga that might save Mother Monster from becoming a "lonely drag queen." What did the one celebrity NO ONE should be taking advice from have to say about Gaga and her gays?

A clip of "The Beatles" doing Lady Gaga's "Telephone" has risen from the grave, while a shockingly sober-ish Courtney Love--who usually looks like she's recently risen from the grave--performs an actually-amazing rrrriot gurl version of "Bad Romance" during the Givenchy after-party in Paris over the weekend. It's still early (early enough to take this news morsel with huge grains of sea salt rimming our morning time margarita), but Courtney Love is the latest name being floated as a replacement for Simon Cowell on next season's American Idol.

Sources of L.A.'s NBC affiliate report that Courtney is at the top of a rather lengthy list of names, including Jessica Simpson, Howard Stern, Justin Timberlake and Elton John, to replace Simon.

I'm on Team Courtney! If we thought Paula's level of nonsensicalness (it’s a real word!) was entertaining, we surely haven’t seen anything yet.

Oh, and screw DVR! If Courtney is vetted and picked as a judge, I’ll not only return to watching American Idol (last season was a snooze-fest), but I’ll watch it...
