Surprise, surprise: the highest frequency of homophobic tweets in the U.S. mostly occur in small towns, not large cities, according to a heat map produced by researchers at Humboldt State University.

When did you decide to be gay?

It's a question that's lost a lot of steam in recent years but is still, embarrassingly enough, being asked by those whom history's leaving behind.

This video, uploaded in 2008 (an eternity in the Internet time-space continuum) but reaching viral status this week on social networks, turns the tables on heterosexuals to provide an enlightening perspective.

The United States is a melting pot of diversity, except when it comes to profile headers gay men use on Manhunt. In all but one state, the most frequent user headline was a simple "Hey guys." 

In Connecticut, however, users however have bypassed the rest of the country for a more pressing (pardon the pun) issue by being the only state where "Looking for a top" is the most frequent header. Times are rough (or not, actually) in Connecticut.
