Hindsight is 20/20, they say, but LGBT folks in Dallas certainly breathed a sigh of relief that failed city council candidate Richard C. Sheridan lost his bid for a place in government after they realized the kind of bigot bullet they just dodged.

In a profanity and slur-laden message left on a reporter's voicemail, Sheridan said, "You sir are a cunt, bitch, coward ... you're a propagandist for the sodomite," -- a reference to Sheridan's openly-gay City Council opponent.

Details follow.

When you think of the myriad of ways the government wastes things (money, time, manpower, etc.), do you think extending equal rights to all its citizens fits the category?

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings does!

Hmm...could Rick Perry be having his own "evolution" or is he cool with the gays joining the church as long they steer clear of the Boy Scouts?

The Texas Governor spoke at the First Baptist Church of Dallas on Sunday and encouraged the congregation not to "condemn certain lifestyles."

Baby steps or baby bullsh*t?? More after the jump.

Pastor Robert Jeffress has denied basing sermons around Westboro Baptist Church picket signs in an interview on the Alan Colmes Show. The controversial pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dallas has many years of offensive anti-gay and anti-Semitic material under his belt (that probably caused Tim Tebow to distance himself from the church), but is flat out denying it, even when faced with his own quotes verbatim.

Remember yesterday's big news that Tim Tebow canceled his appearance at the controversial First Baptist of Dallas for unamed reaons other than "new evidence" coming to his attention?

Well, hate group leader Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association looks past all the anti-Christian actions of First Baptist Pastor Robert Jeffress—anti-semiticsm, Islamaphobia, "Satan runs the Catholic Church, to name a few—to criticize Tebow for "caving into Big Gay" (which sounds like a South Park character).

The Dallas Buyers Club better be the most powerful movie ever because some of our favorite Hollywood hotties are starving themselves to nightmarish proportions (unfortunately once a sad reality for many in our community) to make it work and, well, we miss the pretty!

We're sure during your weekly Google Image search of Matthew McConaughey you've come across pics of him looking particularly gaunt for the film. (No? You don't do that on Mondays and sometimes Wednesdays?) Less discussed, but no less disturbing is his co-star Jared Leto's weight loss.

Check him out after the jump!

Dallas Cowboy fans looking for a little extra info on their team (we think that's football??), may find a different kind of cowboy when they head to Cowboys.com.

The site address, which the NFL team attempted and failed to purchase back in 2007, is now up and running as a gay dating site for those who love men in boots and assless chaps. No word yet on whether users are riding side-saddle or bareback.
