We've come to expect an annual end-of-year release from Rihanna to provide our holidays with a soundtrack of cutting edge pop and R&B. But we've also come to expect the yearly gift to resemble the holiday presents we received as kids: a few must-have hits surrounded by throw away filler.

Though we tried our best to be naughty in 2012, this time around Rihanna's annual album release rewards us as if we were gold star-worthy nice all year long! Unapologetic, the Barbadian beauty's seventh studio album, is a radio-ready complete package. Each of the diverse cuts (our current fave on repeat is "What Now") present a Rihanna who's matured and come into her own—even the inevitable hit duet with Chris Brown, "Nobody's Busin...

A group of devilish Mattel factory-line rejects take their revenge out on the Barbie-obsessed Nicki Minaj in the just-released video for "Turn Me On" (from producer David Guetta).

Sure, we clicked our Ninja Turtles and our G.I. Joes together in what we imagined sweet, sweet love to look like when we were just precious tweenks, but it's a little creepy to see adult dolls (who are still more natural-looking than Joan Rivers) up to no good. Follow the jump to check out the NSFW-ish (for doll-on-doll nudity) debut of "Turn Me On" and let us know if you heart it or hate it!

The Indio desert music festival is almost as famous for imposter lineups as it is for ridiculous heat. But is this newly released image the real deal? Deets after the jump...

Updated Monday, 4:25 p.m. (PST): It's the real lineup!

Instinct’s Top of 2011: Albums

We might not be able to catch a ball from more than three-yards, but our hand/eye jazz-hand/threaded-eye coordination is skilled enough to capture the pop-culture zeitgeist of the past year. We may have endured more blackouts than homes affected by Hurricane Irene in 2011, but our love for pop-culture allows its brightest gems to shine through our sober senses. Once again, Instinct has assigned two of its sassiest editors—Jeff Katz, Senior Editor, and Jonathan Higbee, Associate Web Editor—the task of assessing the year in pop-culture, and this year's bountiful list of favorites might include the most eclectic selections yet. To kick off the series, here are Instinct’s top albums of 2011.

Before you run out of oxygen from the hyperventilating this week's Swag Suite headline likely inflicted upon you (if you're anything like us), let us be clear: though David Guetta is known for his collaborations with icons, there is not a secret track on the French DJ's new album featuring vocals by Barbra Streisand. At least not yet. We've erected a shrine (hyuk hyuk—we said "shrine") filled with prayers to the Almighty Gaga that the collaboration will happen one day soon. We'll keep you post-noted.

Until then, register with this here blog thingy (it's free!), then head over to our Swag Suite area for a chance to win the (amazing) new releases from these two gaydored talents!

We gave two new David Guetta tracks (featuring two gaydored divas!) a spin this afternoon, and, in testament to Guetta's production abilities, we could not stop dancing! But it wasn't all partying at work in the name of research: imagine our chagrin when our Midtown Manhattan building started to shake as we danced. We've been upset that we've broken our liquid-only diet over the weekend to snack on an iceberg lettuce chip for nutrients, but we didn't think we'd gained thaaaat much weight. Anyway, East Coast earthquake humor aside, follow the jump to listen to two earth-shaking epic dance tracks from David Guetta's upcoming new studio album: "Turn Me On" (featuring Nicki Minaj) and "Night Of Your Life" (featuring Jennifer Hudson).

David Guetta taps Aussie vocalist Sia for "Titanium," the new dance-floor killing single to drop from the international DJ/producer's upcoming album. Guetta switches out keyboard arpeggiators for a strumming guitar reminiscent of The Police in what, at first listen, is the audio equivalent of a motion picture epic. But who cares what we think? Follow the jump to give "Titanium" a spin and sound off in the comments!

We heart David Guetta. We heart Nicki Minaj. And while we're trying our hardest to heart their new club-banging collaboration, we just can't find ourselves singing the lyrics of "Where Dem Girls At" out loud after having imbibed three shots of Patron straight, well, directly off a go-go boy's abs. Listen after the jump and let us know what you think!

You might think we black out a lot when we go out dancing, but we remember most of these David Guetta hits, which the French DJ superstar reviews with YouTube sensation Keenan Cahill.

Thank Blog for David Guetta. The French dance-maestro and hit maker single-handedly re-invigorated the careers of Kelis and Kelly Rowland, and his latest muse, Rihanna, can officially join his lineup of success stories. After RiRi’s dismal, depressing and critical-bomb Rated R, we worried our favorite Barbadian beauty was dunzo. Blow and behold (typo and it stays!), not even a year later we’re giving ripped go-go boys dolla dolla bills while the dance-floor magnet “Only Girl (In The World)” plays. Suffice to say, with Loud, Rihanna has returned to form, which is good news indeed, but we still secretly hope that she’ll return that Ronald-McDonald-meets-Dee-Lite look, too…
