Hindsight is 20/20, they say, but LGBT folks in Dallas certainly breathed a sigh of relief that failed city council candidate Richard C. Sheridan lost his bid for a place in government after they realized the kind of bigot bullet they just dodged.
In a profanity and slur-laden message left on a reporter's voicemail, Sheridan said, "You sir are a cunt, bitch, coward ... you're a propagandist for the sodomite," -- a reference to Sheridan's openly-gay City Council opponent.

If you had hoped Michele Bachmann seeking praise for her failed constitutional amendment to ban marriage equality in Minnesota yesterday was the last we'd hear from her on the issue for awhile, you might want to take a seat.
As the state that gave us Crazy Eyes and Lady Fingers (aka The Bachmanns) officially becomes state No. 12 to offer marriage equality later today, a clip featuring Michele calling for "spiritual warfare" against gays and civil rights has surfaced.

No longer content with just comparing us to murderers and rapists, perennial "D-Bag of the Day" Pat Robertson now thinks gay men aren't even as good as murderers and rapists.
Because murderers and rapists stop murdering and raping at some point, while we just keep on firing up Grindr. Or something.

Rick Perry's myopia was on display yet again over the weekend when he appeared on a Boy Scouts-centric webcast hosted by hate group the Family Research Council. Threatening the ruin of the Boy Scouts of America at the hands of the "pop culture" of the LGBT community, Perry and fellow bigot Tony Perkins imply that the threat of inclusion will blow over as long as the BSA remains steadfast with its discriminatory policies.

Overlooking every other abomination that the King James Bible has decided to print since mid-20th century, Pat Robertson continues to focus his life on one vague modern passage. In a rare twist, he's not alone. Earlier this week we reported on ESPN sportswriter Chris Broussard, who denied openly gay NBA star Jason Collins his faith. Unsurprisingly, Robertson has rushed to defend Broussard from contemporary society, culture and the history books.

There have been many off-color responses to Jason Collins' coming out story in the past 24 hours, but none as offensive, perhaps, as hate group leader Bryan Fischer's. Fresh off telling NBA teams to avoid hiring Collins because he will be "eyeballing" them in the locker room on Monday, Fischer now claims that Collins' story is proof or something that gays are "not born that way."

Bret Easton Ellis spent a large part of the weekend doing what he seems to do best lately: complaining on Twitter. This time around it's not Glee or HIV positive gay men he's roughing up, it's GLAAD.
According to the openly gay author, GLAAD banned him from attending its annual Media Awards on Saturday. Then, he goes on to claim, they asked that he keep the story private and not tweet about it.
But GLAAD fired back with its version of events.

Did dropping the Dogg and adding a Lion change Snoop Dogg Lion's sentiment about gay rappers in the hip hop world? Or has something else (perhaps what's in all the brownies he and Martha Stewart bake) gotten to his head to change the tune he was singing back in August?
Snoop no longer believes hip-hop would accommodate a gay rapper, saying now that the industry is too masculine for someone to come out.
