Back in October we told you about Amber Yust, a transwoman in the San Francisco area who received a transphobic letter from the California DMV. On Thursday, Amber made her allegations official by filing a claim with the state department.

"Going into a DMV isn't exactly a fun experience," Amber told the Washington Post. "So to have someone who dislikes something about you or has some strange interest in you decide to use your personal information for something other than what it was supposed to is really scary. I want people to feel safe."

A spokesman for the DMV was quick to respond to the troubling allegations that one of the branch's employees used the DMV database to find Amber's address and harass her, saying, "This is something ...

Amber Yust, a San Francisco transgender woman, has found support from the Transgender Law Center after receiving a disgusting letter from the DMV employee who processed her name change.

The letter, which was mailed to Amber's home address, stated that she had made a "very evil decision." The employee went on to quote the Bible and call Amber "an abomination" before insisting that "homosexuals should be put to death."
