The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee has approved the the HIV Organ Policy Equity (HOPE) Act. The bipartisan bill would lift a federal ban on the donation of HIV-positive organs to HIV-positive recipients.

The Associated Press highlighted the outpouring of support that the Ali Forney Center has received in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. 

The shelter for homeless LGBT youth in New York City  (helmed by Instinct Leading Man Carl Siciliano) was devastated by the superstorm, but it appears that kindhearted souls (yes, there are a few  of them out there!) around the world have come to the rescue in a big way.

Noted Republican marriage equality advocate, billionaire Paul Singer continues to put his money where his mouth is.

He just matched a donation from Mayor Michael Bloomberg in the fight for marriage equality in Maryland by donating $250,000 to Marylanders For Marriage Equality.
