Not to be left out of the marriage equality hoopla taking over America, Australia celebrated same-sex marriage in their own way this week when Big Brother winner Benjamin Norris proposed to his boyfriend on live TV during the show's finale.

The Republican National Convention is about to unleash a torrent of anti-gay sentiment almost as damaging as the hurricane that skirted its path.

Thankfully, "What A Beautiful Day"—a ballad and cartoon music video that singer-songwriter Brett Every released few weeks back—is cute enough to soothe some of the hurtful and un-American rhetoric that will throw gay relationships under the bus in Tampa this week.
