American Idol producers knew exactly what they were doing when they decided to mix a potent cocktail (our favorite kind!) by hiring certified DIVA Mariah Carey and outspoken Queens-born Nicki Minaj as judges. On the same panel. At the same time. It's like trying to mix olive oil and water. Or, if you'd like an example using items from Mariah Carey's celebrity rider, it's like mixing rose petal bath water at exactly 102 degrees and a case of Cristal champagne with a side box of bendy straws; it just doesn't work.
The grade school experiment was shown off at a recent American Idol audition after the two judges disagreed about a contestant's abilities which lead Nicki Minaj to reportedly threaten to "knock out" Mariah.

Who would've imagined that Congress would be the showdown venue for more fashion related drama than Project Runway All Stars? Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has invoked a grand ol' American tradition—burning things—the way of Ralph Lauren's China-made U.S. Olympics Team outfits (which feature the iconic American headpiece: the beret).

Not everyone is readying a limited-edition Prada pup tent, Cartier flask and four meals of Tic-Tacs (we know—binge much?!) to camp out overnight for front row seats to Magic Mike in IMAX 3-D. A few members from Channing Tatum's former stripper-gang aren't too pleased with the actor's decision to turn their careers into the greatest gift to cinema ever in the history of the world.

Our intense love for Scott Evans and his Officer Fish storyline on One Life to Live is obvious (check out our current Dec/Jan issue on newsstands now!), but there are other notable gay storylines in the daytime realm, one of the most popular of which won't be around past 2010.
Sadly, for fans of As The World Turn's Luke and Noah (affectionately nicknamed “Nuke”), news of the soap's cancellation has reached our ears.
Seems that despite the delicious gay duo, ATWT could not pull in the viewership numbers necessary to stay on the afternoon airwaves. The show will take its last spin in September 10.
