The Texas House has just approved a measure that, if finalized, will legally allow official student organizations at colleges and universities across the state to discriminate against gay students (among others). 

NOM scratching at the ground for relevance in the face of inevitable equality is nothing new, but the anti-gay group's latest tactic involves attempting to scare parents. 

As hoped, Texas A&M Student Body President John Claybrook has vetoed the bill that would have allowed students to defund the campus LGBT Resource Center if they were "morally opposed."

LGBT students at Texas A&M might feel unwelcome on campus in the coming years thanks to a vote this week by the university's student senate. By a vote of 35 - 28, the organization has decided to allow students to opt out of funding the school's LGBT center if they have "religious objections."

A Change.org petition has formed after the school board governing Chambersburg Area Senior High School denied the formation of a gay/straight alliance (GSA).

Apparently, not winning Merriam-Webster's Word of the Year with the intelligence-soaked "Howyoudurrrrrrin" has provoked Wendy into critiquing others' elocution and education.

A study by the American Cancer Society reveals a disparity in HIV death rates between white and minority Americans, specifically for those minority Americans that are less educated.

Iran's president spoke with Piers Morgan about the gay rights movement over the weekend. Turns out, Ahmadinejad still isn't our biggest fan. Who would've thought! 

If plenty of rest could prevent STDs, we'd take a slut siesta twice an afternoon! Unfortunately, this dangerous misinformation is actually being spread by California's Clovis School District, which is teaching its students that "plenty of rest," going out in groups and a host of other silly ideas prevent STD infections. Not taught by the district as a method of prevention? Condoms!

There will be a lot of surprised teens in Clovis in the coming years, which is why a coalition of group has filed a lawsuit against the school district based on its sex (mis)education program. Details follow.

Yeah, no laughs.
