It looks like Kate's not the only royal making headlines today!
Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit gave new meaning to the title, when she secretly traveled to India to care for infant twins born (via surrogate mother) to a gay palace employee.
The employee and his husband were unable to get a travel visa to make the trip to India, so Mette-Marit stepped in.

A New York Times article, published today, details a proposed rule that would "extend health insurance to the children of gay people who are partnered with federal employees."
Though the actual domestic partners would still be blocked from coverage based on the Defense Of Marriage Act, children being provided coverage is certainly a silver-lining.

The always classy Arizona Governor Jan Brewer (who's proven to be anti-pretty-much-everything) has shifted her focus to the gays in a particularly nasty way.
The Republican Governor has asked the US Supreme Court to overturn a ruling that allows state employees to place their same-sex partners on their health insurance. Because, you know, we should die.
