The Senate Help Committee has just started a hearing concerning an employment non-discrimination act that includes protections for the LGBT community. Watch it live on CSPAN (and follow the jump for more details).

On the Louboutin heels of the greatest sweeping social legislation in four decades, the Courage Campaign, GetEQUAL and Cleve Jones hope to utilize the momentum to move the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) out of committee and onto the House floor for a vote. The gay blogosphere is grouping together today for a blog swarm in the efforts of drawing attention to Speaker Nancy Pelosi's ability to pass an Employment Non Discrimination Act (ENDA) for GLBT Americans. "If we can get ENDA enacted and signed into law, it is only a matter of time before all the rest happens," the Obama Administration's Personal Management Director John Berry said. "It is the keystone that holds up the whole bunch, and so we need to focus our energies and attention there."
